Ilish Bhaaja

#mychildhoodrecipe
Monsoons bring in Ilish or Hilsa Fish to a Bengali Kitchen. With it brings in nostalgia from childhood. The fish quality over the years have changed and the fish found during my childhood were much more sweet in taste than what it is now. But Ilish Bhaaja with Khichuri is what Monsoons are all about.
My Late Mom shared the best Ilish recipes with me but the simple Ilish Bhaaja continues to bring back childhood memories.
