3D Skull Cookies for Halloween

I wanted to try to make Halloween cake decorations. They're bite-sized, so you can also give them trick-or-treaters.
The shapes don't have to be perfect; it's fine as long as there aren't any cracks.

Roll out the dough and divide into 8 equal portions. Form each portion into a skull shape. Using the end of a chopstick, poke holes for the eyes, nose, and mouth. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

I drew fun Halloween characters using icing! By using specially shaped cookie cutters you can make even more designs. I hope you'll make a lot of these cookies!Watch the consistency of the icing. For drawing outlines and letters it should be on the stiff side, and to spread out over a large area it should be on the loose side. When thinning out the icing, try adding a drop of lemon juice. Frosted Cookies Halloween Ghosts Frosted Cookies Halloween Ghosts
I adapted the cookie recipe from one in a cookbook called "DIA Collection's Frosted Cookie Decoration Recipe." I think that this only needs black icing instead of several colors, which simplifies the recipe. For the icing tip, even a 1mm icing tip may be too wide. It's easier to cut a tip off a plastic icing or piping bag so you can draw a thin line. You can use the cheap ones.Makes 80 cookies.(Recipe by xxsayumixx) cookpad.japan -
