Ingredients

  • 500 gmsChicken (Boneless)
  • 2 teaspoonsGarlic paste
  • 1 teaspoonGinger paste
  • 1 teaspoonSalt
  • 1/2 teaspoonRed Chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonCumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonLemon juice
  • 1 teaspoonMustard Oil
  • 2 tablespoonsCoriander
  • 1 tablespoonCumin
  • 1 teaspoonBlack Pepper
  • 1whole Red Chili
  • 2Cloves
  • 3small Green Cardamoms
  • 2service spoons of Refined Oil
  • 1/2 cupRefined Oil
  • 3medium size Onions, chopped
  • 2medium size Tomato, chopped
  • 1/2 cupWater
  • 1/2 cupbeaten Yogurt

Steps

    Marinate 500 gms of Chicken (Boneless).

  2. 2

    Add 1 teaspoon of Garlic paste in Chicken.

  3. 3

    Add 1/2 teaspoon of Ginger paste.

  4. 4

    Add 1/2 teaspoon of Salt.

  5. 5

    Add 1/2 teaspoon of Red Chili powder.

  6. 6

    Add 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder.

  7. 7

    Add 1/2 teaspoon of Cumin powder.

  8. 8

    Add 1/2 teaspoon of Lemon juice.

  9. 9

    Add 1 teaspoon of Mustard Oil.

  10. 10

    Mix well.

    Cover the chicken and keep in freeze for overnight.

    Next, I will dry roast spices to be used in gravy.

    Add 2 tablespoons of Coriander in a pan.

  14. 14

    Add 1 tablespoon of Cumin.

  15. 15

    Add 1 teaspoon of Black Pepper.

  16. 16

    Add 1 whole Red Chili.

  17. 17

    Add 2 Cloves.

  18. 18

    Add 3 small Green Cardamoms.

    Dry roast the spices.

  20. 20

    Cool the roasted spices and grind.

    Now I will fry the marinated chicken.

    Add 2 service spoons of Refined Oil in a pan and heat.

    Shallow fry the Chicken pieces.

    Next, prepare the gravy. Add 1/2 cup of Refined Oil in Kadai.

    Add 3 medium size Onions, chopped, in the oil and fry.

  26. 26

    Add 1 teaspoon of Garlic paste.

    Add 1/2 teaspoon of Ginger paste.

    Add 2 medium size Tomato, chopped and continue stirring.

    Add 1/2 teaspoon of Salt.

    Add the grind roasted spices and mix well.

  31. 31

    Add the fried Chicken pieces and mix properly.

    Add 1/2 cup of Water and mix well.

  33. 33

    Cover and cook for 15 minutes.

    After 15 minutes, open the cover and add 1/2 cup of beaten Yogurt and mix well.

  35. 35

    Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

  36. 36

    After 5 minutes of cooking, Chicken Bhuna is ready.
