(You can use a pressure cooker) In the slow cooker press the sauté function and add some oil add in the chopped onions and Basil stems let the Cook until soft then add the crushed garlic cook until fragrant.

Add the spices and crushed stock cube stir then add tomato paste cook for a few minutes. Add a splash of water to help loosen the mixture.

Then add in 1 cup of washed green grams stir well then add 2 1/2 cups of water and cover the cooker and set to pressure cook for like 20 min

Vent the pressure cooker then add chopped Basil and coconut cream and stir through. Season with more salt if needed and serve with rice
