Ingredients

  • 200 grampitted dates
  • 2 tablespoonpeanut butter
  • 60 gramroasted peanuts
  • 100 gramsoats
  • 100 gramdark chocolate
  • Pinchsalt

Steps

    In a bowl add dates and add hot water and let it soak for 5 minutes.

    In a food processor add the soaked dates, salt and peanut butter and blitz it to smooth paste.

    Remove 40 percent of the paste in a bowl and set aside. To the 60 percent paste add ground oats and blitz it until it forms a dough.
    Transfer on a greaseproof paper and spread. Cover with another greaseproof paper and roll it using rolling pin to about 3/4 inch thickness.

    Spread the 40 percent set aside on top with a spatula.
    Spread the peanuts on top covering completely. Place it in freezer for half an hour.

    Remove and cut in long slices. Size of a snickers.
    Melt chocolate and cover the bars with chocolate and let it set.
    Enjoy a bar a day 👌

Hi all, my name is Rekha. I am Indian by birth, born in Uganda, East Africa, I now live in Wilby, Northamptonshire/England.I retired at the age of 60 due to severe arthritis. I am married, a mother and grandmother.I learnt to cook from my parents at a very young age of seven. I started to cook simple dishes for the family and gradually learnt how to cook. My mum use to cook at our shop where we sold Indian sweets and savouries. I have learnt a lot from my mum. I started cooking fusion dishes and learning from others. My strong point is making sweet dishes and innovating new dishes. I can improvise and be creative in leftover dishes.I love being on Cookpad because I can share and learn new recipes. I have also made a lot of friends.
