Ingredients

Preparation time-10mins, Cooking time-40 mins
2 servings
  • 1 cupcooked rice
  • 1/2 cupboiled chickpeas
  • 2 Tbspcooked Black Whole Masoor Dal
  • 1/2 cupboiled macaroni
  • as per tasteSalt
  • as per tastePepper
  • 1 Tbspolive oil to drizzle
  • as requiredMint leaves
  • For Tomato Sauce
  • 1medium onion cut into chunks
  • 2medium tomatoes cut into chunks
  • 1large garlic clove
  • 2-3green chillies
  • 1 tspcoriander powder
  • 1 tsproasted cumin powder
  • 2.5 Tbsptomato puree
  • 1.5 Tbspmalt vinegar
  • 1 tspbrown sugar
  • 2 Tbspolive oil
  • 1 Tbspchopped coriander leaves

Steps

Preparation time-10mins, Cooking time-40 mins
  1. 1

    For Tomato Sauce - blend together the onions, tomatoes, garlic, green chilies, coriander powder, roasted cumin powder, tomato purée, malt vinegar and brown sugar to a purée.

  2. 2

    Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the tomato sauce purée. On low flame cook until it has a Salsa consistency.

  3. 3

    Add the coriander leaves, salt and pepper. Set aside 1 Tbsp for garnish and set aside the rest

  4. 4

    Add the cooked rice to the pan, boiled macaroni, boiled whole black Masoor Dal, boiled chickpeas with a dash of olive oil. Mix well

  5. 5

    Garnish with rest of the reserved sauce, fried onions and mint leaves
