Ingredients

  1. For the bottom layer
  2. 2 cupsmilk
  3. 1/4 cupsugar
  4. 1/4 cupcorn flour
  5. 1/2 cupheavy cream
  6. 1/2 tsprose essence
  7. For top layer
  8. 1/2 cupwater
  9. 3 tbspsugar
  10. 1/2-1 tspcorn flour
  11. 1/2 tsprose essence
  12. 2-3 dropsred food color
  13. as per required Pistachios for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    In a heavy bottom, the pan adds cornflour, sugar. Give a gentle mix. Add milk, stir well. Add heavy cream. Mix well. Keep stirring continuously till it thickens. Bring it to a boil.

    Add rose essence. Mix well. Remove it in any vessel to set it. Keep it in the fridge for 3 - 4 hrs.

    Now to make the top layer take a pan, add water, cornflour, sugar and rose essence, and food color. Keep it on the gas. Let it be hot and bring to a boil till it thickens.

    When done, cool it for some time. Spread it over the bottom layer. Garnish it with pistachios. Again set it in the fridge for 2 - 4 hrs or overnight.

    When desire to have it, scoop it and just enjoy it.
