Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbuttermilk
  2. 1 cupmargarine
  3. 4 cupsself raising flour
  4. 1 cupsugar
  5. 4eggs
  6. 2lemons grated
  7. 1 tspvanilla essence
  8. 1 tspcinnamon
  9. 1/2 tspnutmeg
  10. 1 pinchsalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix sugar, lemon rind, and margarine then add your eggs and vanilla essence

  2. 2

    In another bowl add your flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt

    Combine them dry with them wet ingredients, by adding them flour and then buttermilk alternatively.

  4. 4

    Bake for at 170 degrees for 50 minutes, depending on your oven.
