Easy Pork-Wrapped Asparagus

I made this after purchasing nice, thick asparagus.
I love the crunchy texture and aroma when biting into the thick sticks.

Ingredients

  1. 2 stickAsparagus
  2. 3 sliceThinly sliced pork
  3. 1/8 tspSalt and pepper
  4. 1/4 tspKatakuriko
  5. 1/2 tspKombu-based mentsuyu

Cooking Instructions

    Use a vegetable peeler to remove any tough outer fibers of the asparagus, then microwave in a silicon steamer for 1 minute.

    Spread out the pork slices, and season the asparagus with salt and pepper. Roll the asparagus in the pork and dust with katakuriko.

  3. 3

    Heat a non-stick pan and place the wraps inside, sealed edge facing down, and cook until browned on all sides. Drizzle the mentsuyu over the top and it's done.
