My husband made this along with fried cheese bits. He wasn't too particular about he rolled them up, but the softness and juiciness of the pork worked well anyway. I like this better than round wraps!

Super-easy! It's all about wrapping the meat! For 3 to 4 servings. Recipe by Shuukana

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 10 sliceThinly sliced pork belly
  2. 10Shiso leaves
  3. 10Sliced cheese
  4. 1Egg, flour, panko

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Here are the 3 ingredients you need.

  2. 2

Use pork to wrap up the cheese and shiso leaves. (All you need to do is wrap! Nothing else.) Wrap according to the size of the cheese, rather than making round wraps.

  3. 3

This is how it turns out.

  4. 4

Dredge with flour, egg, and panko.

  5. 5

Heat oil to about 340°F/170°C and deep-fry until golden brown.

  6. 6

Voila. Every bite is filled with melting cheese and juicy meat. But the shiso leaves makes them so refreshing! Irresistible!
