Ingredients

  • Spices
  • 2 tspcurry powder
  • 1 tspchili powder
  • 0.5 tspfenugreek seeds
  • 0.5 tsptandoori masala
  • 0.5 tspsalt
  • Curry
  • 0.5green pepper, roughly chopped
  • 1medium onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 Tbspgarlic ginger paste
  • 1 Tbsptomato paste, diluted passata style
  • 1 Tbspcilantro stems, finely chopped
  • 3 cupscurry base
    Curry Base Gravy
  • 2green chili, halved
  • 4cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2-3 cupspre-cooked meat

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan, add onion and pepper and fry until golden/blistered. Pepper should be most of the time skin side down.

    Add garlic ginger paste and cilantro stems, keep stirring.

  3. 3

    Lower the heat and add all spices and bloom/fry for 30 secs.

  4. 4

    Increase heat, add tomato passata and cook until oil separates (1 min).

    Add a bit of curry base, stir until it bubbles (30 secs).

  6. 6

    Add a cup of curry base, cook for 1-2 mins until bubbles form again.

  7. 7

    Add the rest of the curry base, lower the heat and add pre-cooked meat and green chili.

  8. 8

    Let simmer for 5 mins, add curry base if too thick.

  9. 9

    Add cherry tomato and cook until soft.

  10. 10

    Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro.
