Cute Heart-Shaped Fried Egg

I was chosen as a tester for Nissui's fish sausages. I tried stir-fry and other recipes, but this fried egg was simple and cute so it's my favorite.
When placing the toothpicks, be sure to insert them in a way that'll make them easy to remove from the outside. If not, you'll have to eat these with the toothpicks still there. Recipe by Madameasu

Steps
- 1
Cut the fish sausage into 4 pieces lengthwise. This lets you create 2 heart-shaped fried eggs.
- 2
Make a heart shape with the sausages. Use a toothpick at the top and bottom to hold it in place. Place the upper one in a way that you can easily remove it later.
- 3
Heat oil in a pan, and carefully crack open 2 eggs in the center of the sausage heart shapes. Season with salt and pepper as desired, then close with a lid and cook to your desired firmness.
- 4
Transfer to a plate and remove the toothpicks and they're complete.
