Clean the moong dal,wash and soaked into water for 15-20 minutes. Chopped onion,tomatoes and green chilli

Take a pressure cooker.add oil heat it then add cumin seeds and asafoetida when cumin seeds splattered add curry leaves,onion and green chillies. saute for 1 minute.now add ginger garlic paste and saute for one minute.

Now add soaked dal,chopped tomatoes and powder spices,add salt mix well.add 1.5 cup water.pressure cook for 2 whistle. Turn off the flame.release the pressure naturally. Open it the dal has perfectly done

Take a tadka pan add ghee heat it.add ginger, cumin seeds,broken red Chilli and curry leaves. When they splattered add kashmir red Chilli powder and turn off the flame.add prepared temring into cooked dal. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with roti or rice.
