Dal (Maharashtrian Amti)

First wash tur dal and cook in cooker. Smash the dal

Chop tomato, chilies. In a vesel add oil. When oil becomes hot put mustard seeds, jeera, asafoitida, turmeric. Add tomato, curry leaves.

When tomato cooked add boiled tur dal in it. Then add red chilli powder, goda masala, kokam, jaggery. Add salt, coriander leaves & required amount of water.

Let it boil dal for 5 -7 min. Serve dal with hot rice.
