Ingredients

2 quarts
  1. 1 lbItalian sausage
  2. 1sm onion
  3. 2 clovesgarlic
  4. 15 ozdiced tomatoes
  5. 6 oztomato paste
  6. 15 oztomato sauce
  7. 1 cwater
  8. 1 1/2 tbasil
  9. 1 tparsley
  10. 3/4 tbrown sugar
  11. 1 tsalt
  12. 1/4 tcrushed red pepper flakes
  13. 1/8 tblack pepper
  14. 1/8 cred wine (cabernet)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Brown sausage, add onion and cook until softened.

  2. 2

    Add rest of ingredients. Heat to boiling, then reduce to simmer.

  3. 3

    Simmer at least 1 hour, but do not burn. Can simmer slowly in crockpot instead.
