Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make a simply syrup with 1 part Muscavado sugar and 1 part water by cooking in a pan on low until the sugar is dissolved. Set aside. Or use Black Sugar Syrup (sold on Amazon) which imo is way better than mixing Muscavado Sugar & water)
- 2
Cook tapioca pearls according to directions. Run under cool water. Stir in some of the black sugar syrup. Set aside.
- 3
Line the insides of the glass with brown sugar syrup. Put some brown sugar boba in the glass. Fill the glass half way with ice. Pour in milk of choice.
- 4
Remember to stir before you enjoy.
Store remaining black sugar syrup in the refrigerator.

DIY milk tea is a much better option in order to cut all the added sugar in half and steer away from the unwanted additives, especially those found in the instant (and flavored) powdered ones.I'll add more concoctions as I experiment and try them. :) SpottedByD -
Mango Boba (Tapioca pearl) Smoothie Mango Boba (Tapioca pearl) Smoothie
If it isn’t quarantines time, I think I am going to drive to my favorite boba tea place. Yeah I love boba tea. But sadly I can’t go anywhere during this quarantines time. While I am thinking about boba drinks, my eyes caught up on the ripe mangoes laying on the countertop. There’re 3 ripe mangoes I have to finish them soon before it goes bad. Then I have an idea, why don’t I use them to make my own mango boba???And I more happy when I found that I still have some of uncooked tapioca pearl in my pantry. So better don’t waste the time, hurry up, make it, and drink it.And after 10 minutes later, here is. Homemade mango boba smoothie from my kitchen and made by me. If any of you fun of mango and boba, here is the recipe! Nia Hiura -

Banana Milk Banana Milk
We've all been there, we buy bananas, promising to eat one every morning and by the second day we seem to forget where we placed them discovering them only when they are mushy, spotted, brown and undesirable to eat. Before we throw them away, why not try something new with them. Anna Arthur -

Taro Bubble Tea Taro Bubble Tea
For years I have been searching for a recipe end started experimenting with my own. I was tired of paying tons of money for these drinks when one could easily make it themselves for pennies. The pearls and flavor mixes can be found at most Asian markets. This recipe is basic and works just as well with crushed ice using a blender. You can experiment with other flavors like traditional milk tea or mango. Hilary Harmony -
