Japanese-style Miso Cake Salé with Pancake Mix

I simplified the recipe as much as possible.
This is a Japanese-style cake salé that allows for variation using leftover fridge items.
It's also delicious with mushrooms or hijiki.
I used 2 pound cake molds for the photo, so it appears a bit flat. Recipe by saicafe

Steps
- 1
In a bowl, beat the eggs, add the milk, oil, and pancake mix and just mix it all up!
- 2
Cut the additional ingredients into bite sizes.
- 3
Stir-fry the ingredients from Step 2. Mix all the seasoning ingredients and add to the pan. Stir-fry until all the moisture evaporates.
- 4
Turn off the heat, add the 1 cm cubes of cheese and give it a quick stir.
- 5
Add the batter from Step 1 to Step 4. The key here is not to over mix.
- 6
Pour the mixture from Step 5 into the pound cake mold lined with parchment paper and top with thinly sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Bake at 180-190°C for 35-40 minutes.
