This sweet treat is an old favorite! Who doesn't remember asking their mom or grandma for it? Traditional and beloved, enjoy it warm or cold.

Rinse the rice with cold water 2-3 times.

In a pot, bring 2 to 2 1/2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rice and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.

Once the water is absorbed, set aside 1 cup of milk. Add the remaining milk to the rice along with the sugar and vanilla. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

In a small bowl, mix the reserved milk with the cornstarch. Whisk until smooth.

Pour this mixture into the pot and stir constantly until the pudding thickens, about 3 to 4 minutes.

Once thickened, remove from heat and divide into small bowls. Let cool slightly and sprinkle with cinnamon.
