Makki ki roti is a popular punjabi winter dish. It is made from maize flour & served with sarso ka saag .
Steps

First take maize flour in a bowl. Rub the flour with fingers to break the lumps. Now add salt & carom seeds to it & mix well.

Now add lukewarm water gradually to the flour & mix well. Add water until it is fully incorporated & mixture becomes together like a dough.

Cover it & let it rest for 10 min. Now make balls out of the dough. Sprinkle some dry flour on the rolling pin. Now with the help of finger tips spread the dough ball. Move your fingers in a circular motion until it becomes a large circle.

Carefully transfer the roti on your palm. Place the roti on a hot girdle. Cook the roti from one side for 1 - 2 min. Now flip it & cook from other side. Now transfer the roti on direct flame & cook from both sides till golden brown. Apply butter or ghee on it. Serve it with sarso ka saag.
