Waffles Waffles
This is an adaptation of my pancake recipe (which I'd worked on for about 10 years) which I'd made after I got a waffle iron. I might like these even better, so definitely give it a try! Makes a great breakfast when you want something nice but don't want to spend too much time either. lulublululu -
Waffle iron egg sandwich 💣 Waffle iron egg sandwich 💣
I just discovered you can cook eggs on a waffle iron. I had to try it and I had my doubts but it came out perfect. I will definitely be making this often. It didn't even make a mess. The eggs just lifted right out. I was shocked. It was probably the best egg sandwich I've had in a long time. carrie -
Savoury Corn Waffles Savoury Corn Waffles
#HFFMonsoon_SpecialWhen the pitter patter sound of rain falls the tummy craves for something hot, crispy, crunchy and of course with corn in it. You must have eaten sweet waffles but I made these crisp, Savoury Corn Waffles for that baarish wali bhook. Easy to make and delicious when it's raining.I have never made waffles at home and I just blindly whisked up my own vegetarian savoury waffle recipe. Next on my list is crispy potato waffles for myself and chicken for my daughter. This spicy and filling corn and pepper stuffed waffle can be eaten as a starter or at breakfast or dinner, especially in summers. You can serve the waffles on a bed of lettuce, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, diced onions, red pepper flakes or any sauce. You can add mixed herbs, cheese or spices to the batter if you wish. I like a little spice and served the Savoury Corn Waffles with chilli garlic and Sriracha sauce.Yes, these waffles are made with refined flour but I am going to try with whole wheat or mixed grain. Crispy Waffle Hashbrowns Crispy Waffle Hashbrowns
I love crispy potatoes of any kind. When I saw posts about cooking various foods in a waffle iron, this was the first thing I wanted to make. Didn't own a waffle iron because I don't like waffles, so I found this Mini Dash tiny one for under $10. Worked out perfectly! Crunchy on the outside, soft inside, these potatoes were a quick, yummy snack! They'd also be a nice addition to an English muffin breakfast sandwich because it's just slightly larger than an English muffin (when made in the Mini Dash). Maggie Conlon -
Cornmeal Waffles Cornmeal Waffles
I am very lucky to live by a place that grinds fresh cornmeal, buckwheat and flour. If you cannot get cornmeal fresh, you can use regular cornmeal. This is not a heavy waffle. It is light and crisp. It is not too "gritty" because of the cornmeal. This is an old family recipe. Deneen Flowers -
Whole Wheat Breakfast Waffles Whole Wheat Breakfast Waffles
Though normal waffles are really fluffy and great for a snack, for breakfast they don't really make you full enough and I'd worry about the nutritional content. So these are the waffles I make for breakfast. I use honey in place of sugar, and olive oil for the oil. They've got a nice texture, are full of nutrients, and are very filling.Since I place the bowl on a scale and weigh out all the ingredients as I go along, I listed everything in grams. Since these are for breakfast they aren't very sweet. Adjust the sugar accordingly. Recipe by Yukiline cookpad.japan -
