Being gluten intolerant is a pain, but I refuse to give up thick and creamy white sauce. That is my origin story.
Steps

Put rice flour, butter, stock cube and herbs in a big mug or bowl.

Add boiling water and thoroughly mix until stock cube and rice flour dissolves and desired thickness is achieved.

Pour into medium heat pan, stir frequently. Add milk, mayonnaise, extra herbs. Salt and pepper to taste.

Taste, and if something is missing, add that, and taste again until you like it.
