Gather all your ingredients and have them ready.

Grease a glass baking dish with butter. In a bowl, combine the chicken, egg, sour cream, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Spread the mixture in the buttered dish and top with 1 or 2 layers of Manchego cheese.

Bake at medium heat (about 350°F/180°C) for 30 minutes. Serve hot, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
