Roasting garlic takes out the strong pungent flavor, and slowly caramalizes and brings out the natural sugar sweetness. Use it in any recipe, that you would normally use garlic in.

Ingredients

  1. Preheated 335 Degree Oven
  2. 1Whole Bulb of a Quality Garlic Variety
  3. SplashOlive Oil
  4. Sprinkle of Kosher Salt
  5. Cracked Black Pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Cut about 1/4-1/2 inch off of the top of garlic bulb, to expose the pods. Pour some olive oil on top of the garlic, and then sprinkle kosher salt and cracked black pepper on the top of the garlic bulb.

  2. 2

Either wrap garlic bulb in heavy duty foil or use a ceramic plate with a cover as I have. (I bought it at a yard sale many years ago. Aluminum foil works just fine) Bake at 330' for 45-60 minutes. If the cloves start oozing out the garlic meat, it us done. Just be careful not to over bake and dry it out.

  3. 3

Let the garlic bulb cool to touch, then squeeze out all the garlic goodness into a bowl. Mash up and use however you want. Makes an amazing garlic butter. 😉 Enjoy
