Ingredients

  • 1cupIngredients for boiling: Black -eyed beans
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 2 cupswater or as required
  • as required Ingredients for kebab mixture: coarsely ground black-eyed beans
  • 1/2 tspsalt or as per taste
  • 1 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspcumin powder
  • 1 tspchaat masala
  • 1/2 tspgaram masala
  • 1/2 tspgarlic paste
  • 1/2 tspginger paste
  • 1finely chopped medium sized onion
  • 1finely chopped green chilli
  • as requiredFinely chopped coriander leaves
  • as required Finely chopped mint leaves
  • 1/2lemon juice
  • 1/4 cupbread crumbs
  • as required Ingredients for Dip: A handful of coriander leaves
  • 1 tbspmint leaves
  • 2green chillies
  • 1/4 tspgarlic paste
  • 1/2lemon juice
  • 1/4 cupyoghurt
  • as per tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and soak the black-eyed beans in fresh water overnight.

  2. 2

    Once the black-eyed beans are soaked well boil the beans in a pressure cooker.

  3. 3

    Cook on a high flame until one pressure, turn the heat to low and simmer for about 8-9 minutes.

  4. 4

    Turn off the heat, allow the pressure cooker to cool off naturally.

  5. 5

    Once cooled, drain off the excess water and grind it coarsely.

  6. 6

    In a mixing bowl take all the ingredients mentioned for the kebab. Mix it well and give it a desired shape.

  7. 7

    For the dip - in a grinding jar take all the ingredients and blend it well.

  8. 8

    Shallow fry the kebabs batch wise and serve it with the dip and with some fresh salad.
