On Eid we make either biryani or pulao depending on family's choice. I make different types of biryanis and tiqqa biryani is one of my signature recipe, it's quite old.
I shred previously in my cookpad kitchen, today sharing Jhat pat one /quick version and very delicious too with boneless chicken and box masalay as kids nowadays like boneless. I will share my other biryani link in that I used home masalay. My family and guests loves my food Alhamdolilah as they say you make different dishes. But this year and last year we lost our beloved love ones so Eid will be not like that as before.

Marinate chicken with all above ingredients. with 1tbsp oil also. Keep for 4_5hrs. Marination is important in this for good flavour.

Wash and Soak rice.

Heat 1 tbsp oil or ghee and cook chicken in it on medium low flame till cooked. Don't overcook it will also cook in masala We can bbq also. Now give coal dum and cover.

Make biryani masala 🌹
Heat oil add oil and fry onions in it till light brown colour, add ginger garlic paste and fry, add chopped tomatoes mix and cook, add biryani masala and cook on low flame till all well mixed n cooked if required add little water. Add green chillies. - 5
When masala is well cooked n fried (bhunai) and oil comes out add cooked chicken pieces, add dahi and cook on medium high flame add, green chillies. Cook for 5mins, it should be not very dry but with some gravy, nowymasala is ready

Boil water with zeera, tez patt, star anice, cloves and salt, add few mint leaves Add vinegar when half done Cook till 80%done than drain.

Assemble biryani 🌹
Take an open pot spread 2tbsp oil than half rice layer few mint leaves, than chicken tiqqa (half)masala masala, few green chillies than remaining rice top with chicken masala, green chillies and mint, sprinkle food colour dissolved in little water.Also sprinkle 2tbsp oil or ghee on rice cover tightly with lid.Put tawa under pot flame should be high for ten minutes. Than lower down the flame for dum. At least 20_30 minutes or till steam is coming out.off flame and leave it - 8
Leave it covered for 10-15 mins before opening.

Tip :Before putting your biryani pot on stove put tawa /griddle on stove, add some water on it in center, put your pot on it and open flame. This won't burn your rice from bottom.

Enjoy this yummilicious tiqqa biryani on your special occasions with raita n salad and remember me in your prayers. Make on Eid and cook snap me.
