Dehrori is a traditional sweet of Chhattisgarha which is usually made in every home during festivals like Holi and Diwali. It is a sweet and very tasty dish. Chhattisgarhi Dehrori rice and curd are made overnight, the dumplings are fried in oil and soaked in sugar syrup. It is also known as 'Rice Gulab Jamun'.

Add rice flour, curd and water in a bowl and mix it well.

Now, keep this batter covered for 2 hours.

Add sugar, water and saffron threads in a pan and mix to make syrup.

Heat oil in a pan. Add soda to the batter and stir.

With the help of a deep spoon, drop the batter into the oil and fry on medium heat until golden brown in color.

Remove the vada from the oil and immediately soak it in the syrup for 1/2 hour.

Transfer to a serving plate and serve garnished with dessicated coconut, cardamom powder and rose petals.
