Chicken Shish Tawook
A healthy and nutritious lunch. This recipe is great for kids who don’t usually like chicken or vegetables.
Steps
- 1
Cut the chicken breast cutlets into cubes. For the marinade, mix mustard with the spices, 1 tablespoon vinegar, salt, black pepper, and a large container of plain yogurt. Add 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce. Let the chicken marinate overnight if possible, or for at least 3 hours so it absorbs the flavors.
- 2
Thread the marinated chicken cubes and vegetables onto shish kebab skewers. (Kids can help with this step to encourage them to eat more vegetables.)
- 3
Heat a grill pan lightly brushed with oil over medium heat. (If you don’t have a grill pan, use a regular skillet brushed with oil.) Arrange the skewers in the pan and cook, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and nicely browned.
- 4
Serve with French fries and ketchup.
