Crock Pot Mississippi Pot Roast

Heat up a large skillet on high and add oil to the hot skillet.

Prepare the pot roast by patting both sides dry with a paper towel and seasoning with salt and pepper. Once the skillet is nice and hot, add the roast.

Cook one side of the roast for 2-3 minutes, then flip it over and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes.

Place the pot roast in the crockpot, sprinkle with ranch dressing mix and onion soup mix, and then top with a stick of butter and place the peperoncini peppers around the roast.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

After it has cooked, take two forks and start shredding the meat, discarding any big fatty pieces.

Serve and enjoy.
