Heat oil, add the spices & fry for a minute.

Then add the chopped onions & fry till they turn soft. Add the ginger-garlic paste, turmeric & chilli powder & fry well till raw smell goes. Then add the chopped tomato & cook till soft.

Add salt or maggi cubes, then the sausages, fry till oil/fat is released from the sausages.

Drop in the potatoes, 1/2 of the chopped coriander leaves, mix well, add some water, cover & cook till potatoes are 3/4 done.

Now add the soaked rice, mix all well, add 3 & 1/2 to 4 cups of water (same cup that was used to measure the rice). Taste the salt, adjust accordingly. Cover & cook on low flame till done. Garnish with the remaining chopped coriander leaves.
