Soak almonds in 1c hot water, 10 minutes. Remove the skin
Blend with 1c of chilled milk. Add heavy cream, and cream milk powder Blend together for a couple of minutes to make a creamy smoothie texture
Soak saffron with 3tbs hot milk in a small bowl ; it will dissolve to give a nice color.
Transfer the mixture to a heavy bottomed saucepan. - 4
Heat over simmering heat. Stir now and then to avoid lumps. keep an eye. milk may boil over. It will thicken. Add condensed milk, stir. Taste. If you need sugar may add sugar. I did not. Add saffron, and cardamom. Whisk. If sugar is added. It will get a little watery. Continue heating the mixture, until it thickens, about 80%
Cool the mixture and transfer to a small cups. Cover with a foil or plastic; this will prevent ice crystal formation. - 5
If you have kids, you may insert a stick into the poured mixture before freezing.
Freeze for 8 hours. I froze overnight. Dry roast the nuts for 30 seconds in a microwave or over low heat in a skillet on a stove
Garnish with chopped nuts and serve chilled. Enjoy
