Butter Chicken/ Garlic Naan

Ingredients

  1. 4boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
  2. Marinade
  3. 1 cupgreek yogurt plain
  4. 2 tsppaprika
  5. 1 tspGaram masala
  6. 1 tspsalt
  7. 1 tspblack pepper
  8. 1/2 tspcumin
  9. Juice of one small lemon
  10. 1 tsp turmeric
  11. 2 tspminced garlic
  12. Sauce
  13. 1 28 oz can tomato sauce
  14. 1 cupheavy cream or half and half
  15. 1 tbsgarlic minced
  16. 1/2large yellow onion diced
  17. 1/2 tspsalt
  18. 1 tspblack pepper
  19. 2 tsp garam masala
  20. 2 tsppaprika
  21. 1 tsp turmeric
  22. 1/2 tspcumin
  23. Olive oil for sautéing
  24. 2 TBSchopped cilantro
  25. Greek yogurt drizzle
  26. 1/4 cupplain Greek yogurt
  27. 1 tbshalf and half or heavy cream
  28. For Naan
  29. 1 packagegarlic naan
  30. 1 tspgarlic herb seasoning or garlic powder
  31. 1 tspdried parsley
  32. 2 tbsbutter

Cooking Instructions

    Season chicken with spices for the marinade. Add Greek yogurt and lemon juice and incorporate thoroughly. Refrigerate for at least one hour.

    Heat 3 tablespoon of olive oil over medium high. Add marinated chicken once oil is ready. Sauté for 6 to 7 minutes depending on the size of your chicken. Remove from pan.

    Add an additional tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté onions and fresh garlic for 3 to 4 minutes. Add minced ginger. Sauté in the additional minute.

    Add tomato sauce and reduce heat to medium. Add salt pepper turmeric paprika garam masala and cumin. Simmer for 5-6 minutes.

    Blend tomato sauce in food processor or blender till smooth and strain. Add back to pan.

    Add heavy cream or half-and-half and fully incorporate. Add chicken cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes.

    Melt butter. Add naan bread. Seasoned with garlic herb seasoning and dried parsley. Flip to other side. Season again and flip.

    Mix 1/4 cup of Greek yogurt with 1 tablespoon heavy cream.

    Serve butter chicken over rice. Topped with chopped cilantro and drizzled with Greek yogurt sauce. Served with naan and enjoy
