I first tasted smothered pork chops when I was in my 20s believe it or not my mother always fried them when I was a child and I was never a huge fan until I tried them a different way and I couldn't be happier with this recipe

Sprinkle both sides of pork chops with seasonings of your choice (ex: meat tenderizer and garlic salt or powder)

Combine soup mix, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup and gravy mix whisk together until mixture is well combined pour into crockpot cover pork chops on both sides well cover and cook on low setting 4-6 hrs

When pork chops are about done in a small bowl whisk cornstarch and water together until the mixture is smooth and add to crockpot and give it a light stir to mix cover and set pot to high then cook an additional 30 minutes or until gravy has thickened
