Ingredients

  1. 200 gmspaneer
  2. 2 tspbutter
  3. 2 tbspoil
  4. 2 medium onions finely chopped
  5. 2-3chopped green chillies
  6. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  7. 1 tspsalt
  8. 1 tspKashmiri red chilli powder
  9. 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
  10. 1 tspcumin powder (jeera)
  11. 1 tspcoriander powder (dhania)
  12. 1 tbspgram flour (besan)
  13. 2medium tomatoes finely chopped
  14. 1/2 tspgaram masala powder
  15. 1 tspcrushed kasoori methi
  16. 2 tbspfresh green coriander leaves

Steps

    To begin, heat oil and butter in a pan.

  2. 2

    Once the butter melts, add in the chopped onions and green chilies. Saute until translucent.

  3. 3

    Add in the ginger garlic paste. Mix well and saute for a minute or two.

  4. 4

    Add in the dry masalas - salt, Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder. Mix.

  5. 5

    Now add in the besan and cook on low heat until aromatic. This gives a good texture to the gravy.

  6. 6

    Next, add the chopped tomatoes. Cook until they soften and oil starts appearing on the sides.

  7. 7

    Add some water and adjust the gravy as per your taste.

  8. 8

    Add the crumbled paneer and mix well. Make sure not to overcook or the paneer will be chewy.

  9. 9

    Finally, add garam masala powder, crushed kasoori methi, and chopped green coriander leaves. Mix well.

    The Dhaba Style Paneer Bhurji is ready to serve. Enjoy with paranthas or naans.
