In a wok, heat oil and deep fry the mangodis until crisp and light brown.

Dry roast all the masala ingredients, and grind to a coarse powder.

In a mixing bowl, add curd, whisk to a smooth consistency, add in the prepared masala and stir to mix.

In a pan heat mustard oil, add tomato puree, turmeric and red chili powder, cook until water evaporates.

Add in the curd mixture, season with salt, pour in water and allow to simmer for about 15 minutes.

Season with salt, add in the fried mangodi, cook for another 5 minutes.

Serve hot with roti of rice.
