Steps

1 hr 30 mins
  1. 1

For the dough, mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.

  2. 2

Gradually add water till it forms a dough consistency. Not too hard, not too liquidy.

  3. 3

Coat your bowl with oil and put the dough. Cover and allow to rest for 5 mins

  4. 4

After the dough has rested, roll into a log and divide into 8 balls

  5. 5

Roll each ball to form a round shape

  6. 6

Repeat with the remaining balls of dough

  7. 7

Pick a rolled dough, brush with enough oil, then put another one on top, brush with oil again and put the third one on top.

  8. 8

Use 3 pieces so that it makes it easier to remove after toasting.

  9. 9

Pinch the edges together and roll very flat

  10. 10

Heat up a roti pan or a non-stick pan

  11. 11

Placed the rolled flat dough on top and toast evenly on both sides.

  12. 12

Repeat these processes with the remaining dough

  13. 13

Once evenly toasted, put in a plate or tray and cover with clean kitchen towel so that it wouldn't dry

  14. 14

For the filling, heat up oil in a pan. Once hot, add in the chopped onions and crushed garlic. Stir till translucent

  15. 15

    Add in the minced meat

  16. 16

Add in the roughly shredded peppers (jajjage) and stir together

  17. 17

Add in grated carrots. Note grate the carrots with the small part of the grater

  18. 18

Allow the liquid to almost evaporate but it shouldn't. Season with seasoning cubes and garam masala.

  19. 19

Stir all together. You're filling is done

  20. 20

After the samosa sheets are cooled down, look for a round bowl, place it on the sheet, go around it using knife or pizza cutter.

  21. 21

Once you've gotten a round shape, divide into 4 equal parts

  22. 22

Do this with the rest of the sheets.

  23. 23

Make a thick paste of flour and water. This will be your glue.

  24. 24

Pick a piece of the already divided one and glue the edges using the flour glue or thickner. This will give you a cone shape

  25. 25

Scoop enough filling inside but not too much. Then fold in the last part

  26. 26

Tuck and glue all together to give you triangle shape.

  27. 27

Do this with the remaining cut outs.

  28. 28

Heat oil in a deep fry pan and allow to be hot

  29. 29

Fry the samosas evenly till golden brown.

  30. 30

Your Samosa is ready to be enjoyed. It's a long procedure but trust me all this hardwork will pay off at the end
