Ingredients

4-6 portions

2large ripe avocados (or 3-4 small)
1large lime, zested and juiced
2 clovesgrated garlic, preferably roasted, or 1/2-1 tsp garlic powder
2 tbspchunky salsa of choice
1 tsphot sauce (such as Cholula or a habanero based one), optional
salt, pepper, and Tajin or cayenne pepper to taste

Halve and scoop out avocados into a large bowl. Coarsely mash with a fork or potato masher.

Add all other ingredients and taste with your favorite chips. Adjust seasonings to taste.
Other good mix ins include chopped tomatoes and minced pickled red onion, but I usually don't bother.
