Apple 🍎 Jam

Apple jam is easy to make , chunky texture, gorgeous golden colour & a fresh apple flavour 😍

You can use this fabulous jam as pie filling by just add a pinch of cinnamon powder. Spread it on toast or if you want a real treat , grt yourself some warm croissants to go with it .

Tip
Apples 🍎 have natural pectin which helps to thicken the jam as it cooks.

I am not adding pectin , have to cook the jam little longer.

Don’t skip the lemon juice because that helps prevent the apples from turning brown.

  • Juice of 2 lemons 🍋

    Fill the bowl with cold water and add the juice of 1 lemon 🍋

    Peel & core the apples 🍎 and add them to the lemon water.

    Remove the apples from the water (discard the water) finally diced them.

    Add apples to the heavy bottomed pot along with sugar and juice of other lemon 🍋

    Stir well & bring to a boil. Stirring often for 30-40 minutes until thickened.

    Used hand blender to blend just a bit but let it chunky.

    Do the blending carefully while the jam is hot & depends on what texture you want your jam to have.

    Pour the jam into sterilised glass bottle, cover tightly and cool completely before refrigerating.

I am a homechef. Cooking is my passion. Love to creat new recipes. Mother of three . MashaAllahI belong to a punjabi family and married in the same community. Food taste is similar and almost same traditional dishes. My Ancestors belong to Amratsar and Inlaws are from Sargodha. I am born & brought up in Karachi. I have learnt alot from my Mom . She’s also a super chef of our family & my inspiration too. After shadi have learnt few dishes from my saas too .Good food makes my family really happy & in return they appreciated me alot. It’s really good to see my husband and kids happy because they love the food that I cook . I genuinely enjoy the whole process of cooking & love to hosting and design menus too. For me cooking is highly creative hobby to take up . You can not only create your own dishes but blend your favourite cuisine , it’s totally your choice because it’s your kitchen and your family. I am blessed to be surrounded by beautiful family who always appreciated me and love my cooking skills ❤️❤️❤️
