This is generally done during ganesh Chadurthi festival base material all-purpose flour and inside stuffing materials,chana dal,coconut,jaggery Elaichi.very tasty to be prepared like a Paratha, time consuming but very tasty final touch with Desi ghee. hot hot stuffed puran poli directly you can eat otherwise dip in hot milk .

First take maida and seive it. mix with a pinch of salt, cooking soda, til oil, haldi powder and make a soft Puri consistency dough and cover with a soft cloth.

Take chana dal dip in water for 30 minute and in a small cooker boil the chana dal nicely. turn off your cooker and after sometime open your cooker check with your hand if chana da isl completely in a smashed form then pour them in mixer grinder. add jaggery powder,elaichi and finally grated coconut. combine everything nicely. you will get a tight dough. keep it in a vessel

Next remove the cloth covering your all-purpose flour dough. it will be doubled and very soft. with the help of your hand make a round shape, inside insert your prepared puran poli chana dal stuffing. close the upper portion, take a banana leaf and slowly make a roti of it. heat your iron tawa or non-stick tawa and transfer your puran poli stuffed roti let it cook slowly, turn it to other side and pour Desi ghee, cook till it becomes golden in colour.
