Finely chopp onion.
In pot add oil and fry onion till golden brown now take out from oil and put it in blender jug add yogurt I fried onion and blend it to make smooth paste. Keep it aside. - 2
Now in same pot add chicken in hot oil and fry it for 2 min then add ginger garlic paste and saute it for another 2 min..now add all remaining masala and cook till oil separates.

Then add peeled and cut potatoes in it add 2 cup water and cover the lid and cook on low flame till chicken and potatoes tender..

Enjoy with chapati.
