Thekua is a traditional sweet of Bihar. Especially on the auspicious day of Chhath Puja, each and every house celebrates this festival with thekua.
Steps

Take a pan, on a slow flame, heat water, and add jaggery, when it melts completely, turn off the gas.

Take a bowl, add all ingredients, and mix well. Add jaggery water to make a tight dough. So add water gradually as required.
Keep aside for 10 minutes rest. - 3
Now make the dough smooth by applying little ghee. Make equal sizes of small balls. Make it in an oval shape by rolling. To give a leaf shape, make impressions of veins of the leaf with the help of a sharp edge of a knife. Make all thekuas in the same way. If you have thekua mold, then it will be very easy to make it fast.

Take a pan, add ghee/oil, on medium slow flame fry thekuas till turn golden brown. Transfer to a plate. Fried hot thekuas may be soft, but when cools completely, it turns crispy.

You can store in an airtight container for a few days. Enjoy thekua.
