Today I have made Bihari Sweets Thekua. It's a traditional sweets of Bihar. In Bihar auspicious festival Chhat puja is incompatible without this Thekua.

Today I have made Bihari Sweets Thekua. It's a traditional sweets of Bihar. In Bihar auspicious festival Chhat puja is incompatible without this Thekua.
Steps

Heat a deep pan add jaggery and little water and mix it well and cook till jaggery dissolves completely then turn off the flame and sieve it and keep aside for cool down.

Take a bowl add all ingredients except oil and mix it well and add prepared jaggery syrup and Knead to a stiff dough if required water then add little it. Cover and set aside for 5-7 minutes.

To make a thekua, take a portion of the dough and make tear drop shape and using the back of the fork, make a line in the centre and using the fork, make pattern on each sides of the line to creat leaves.

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, deep fry the prepared thekua on low medium heat till golden brown and crispy. Drain on the absorbent paper and serve.
