Ingredients

  • 2 tbspSemolina [rava] -
  • 1 tspUrad dal -
  • 1 tspOil -
  • 1/2 tspMustard seeds -
  • 1 pinchAsafetida -
  • 4-5Curry leaves
  • 2 tbspOnions [chopped] -
  • as per tasteSalt
  • 1 glassButtermilk/water
  • 1-2 tbspCoriander chutney 1-2 tbsp

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the urad dal and mustard seeds.

    When the seeds crackle, add the asafetida, curry leaves, onions, and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.

    Add the roasted semolina and salt and sauté on a medium flame for 1 more
    minute.

    Add the coriander chutney and
    cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.

    Add 1 glass of buttermilk (if not available,use hot water) and cook on a medium
    flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till the water evaporates, while stirring continuously.

    Mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes

  3. 3

    You can add chutney when you add hot water in semolina

    Dry roast the semolina in a broad non-stick kadhai on a medium flame for 3 to 4
    minutes & keep aside
