Spaghetti with clams and garlic

I were inspired by similar recipe from foodandwine.com and local seafood restaurant in Lisbon, Rosamar and their clam pasta. It tastes amazing but is cheap, quick and easy to make! Sounds unbelievable, and it is. We had to empty the whole pan at once 🙄
Using frozen clams?
- Unfreeze them by putting them inside a small plastic bag, then the bag to a bowl, and then running cold water on top of them for 30 minutes.
If you also don't feel comfy running water that long. I just changed the cold water from the bowl few times inside the 30 minutes.

Cook the spaghetti in salted water. Don't let it dry before adding to the sauce.

Meanwhile, heat the olive oil and butter on a frying pan until butter is bubbling. Add the minced garlic and crushed red pepper, and cook until garlic have got lightly color, about 1 min

Add the clams, water and 3/4 of chopped parsley. Season with black pepper and a little bit of salt. Mix with example two wooden spoons. Cover and let simmer until the clams open, around 6-7 minutes. Discard any clams that don't open.

Add the spaghetti, rest of the parsley, squeezed lemon juice and crushed garlic croutons (in Portugal they have these small, dry, mini toasts which I used) to the frying pan with the clams and mix slowly together, around 1 minute.

Transfer the pasta with clams to plates or bowls and serve.
