Battasa (Batashe)

On the auspicious day of Deepavali , we pray to the goddess of wealth Maa Laxmi. We offer her beautiful flowers, grains, delicious food, sweets, and our prayers. We perform the puja of all the jewellery, silver and gold gems, cash, and all assets. On this day, the tradition is to offer puffed millets or Lahi and along with that , a flat sugar candy called Battasa or Batashe. Though everyone gets it from sweets shop, I decided to make this sweet at home. It was a fun experience and I loved it! Happy Diwali 🎇🎇
