Kathiyawadi khichdi

Soak dal and rice for 15 minutes. Pressure cook it giving 3 whistles.

Now in mortar add garlic cloves, and red chilli powder. Make paste of it. Chop all veggies

In a deep pan add oil, once hot add fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds, grated ginger.dry red chillies. Saute well.

Add chopped onion, garlic chutney. Mix well. Saute till raw smell of garlic goes of. Now add chopped tomato. Saute. Now add chopped potato.cook for 5 minutes.

Now add turmeric powder,, garam masala, dhanya powder. Mix well. Add cooked khichadi. Add salt and hot water. Cook well for 5 minutes on medium heat. Put coriander leaves

Serve hot with a generous amount of desi ghee. Masala chass, papad. Enjoy
