Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupSoaked & Cooked Lentil { Yellow Moong Daal }
  2. 1/2 CupBoiled Quinoa
  3. 1Medium Chopped carrots
  4. 1Medium Chopped Onion
  5. 1Medium Chopped Tomato
  6. 1/2 tspCumin Seeds { Jeera }
  7. 4-5Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves
  8. 2 tspFinely Chopped Ginger
  9. 1 tspOlive oil
  10. 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder
  11. as requiredSalt to Taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat and jeera sauté the onions and carrots for about 5 minutes.

    Then add ginger and garlic and saute for another minute, just until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Add lentils, quinoa, turmeric, salt, little water, and tomatoes and bring the soup
    to a boil.

    Once boiled, lower the heat and cover the pot to let everything simmer until the
    lentils blend well with quinoa for about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Once it is done add chopped coriander; serve hot with a slice of lemon
