Peanut Butter Cereal Bar Treats

I finally got confident enough with making #ricekrispietreats that I decided to get a little frisky with it! 😆👌👍👍 I definitely feel like everything is better with peanut butter. 😋😄 Further, I am all about using every last bit of cereal that we have and not letting things go to waste! 👏😎👏 #cupboardcleanout #snacks #cerealbars #childrenstreats #marshmallows #peanutbutter

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Start by greasing generously, a medium glass or ceramic casserole dish or baking pan. (You can also use wax paper) Then, begin melting butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Once melted, stir in vanilla and salt.
- 2
Next, add 1 cup of mini marshmallows and melt down almost completely, then add an additional 1 cup mini marshmallows, 1 cup peanut butter, & honey. Melt together until smooth consistency.
- 3
Then, slowly mix in dry ingredients one at a time. Saving the dried fruit & remaining 1/2 cup of marshmallows for last. (This is so they don't melt 😏) After all is mixed together well, pour entire mixture onto greased sheet or wax paper and press down firmly with a spoon to make flat evenly.
- 4
Next, melt remaining 1 cup of peanut butter and drizzle evenly over the top of mixture.
- 5
Lastly, add your sprinkles and/or desired toppings. Press those down gently and briefly before placing dish/pan to "set" in the freezer for about 30 minutes or until cooled completely.
- 6
Finally, remove from freezer and let sit for a few minutes to soften just enough to cut into squares of desired sizes. Enjoy!

Rice Cereal Bars with Peanut Butter Rice Cereal Bars with Peanut Butter
I used Kellogg's "Rice Krispies Squares Original Recipe" as a reference. Usually you use butter or margarine, but I used peanut butter instead. I added peanuts too, and changed the ingredients. I also added white chocolate since the rice cereal is not that sweet. When mixing the cereal and marshmallows together, it hardens and sets very fast, so it's pretty tough work. Try putting a little butter on the spatula - that is supposed to help. It's easier to put the mixture into the mold and press down with your hands rather than with a spatula. The white chocolate is optional, but puffed rice is not that sweet, so the bars taste better with chocolate. For 14 4cm x 6cm x 3cm bars. Recipe by VitaminY cookpad.japan -
