This is a simple recipe, that turns the chicken out citrusy and tender, tuck in some baby potatoes and fresh herbs for another tasty twist.

Ingredients

5 to 6 people
  1. 1whole chicken or chicken pieces
  2. 300 mloil
  3. 4gloves garlic (minced)
  4. 50 gbrown sugar
  5. 1 tspsalt
  6. 1 tspblack pepper
  7. 30 gKashmiri Masala
  8. 1sliced onion 🌰
  9. 2sliced oranges 🍊
  10. 2whole lemon 🍋 one sliced and one juiced
  11. 100 gfreshly chopped parsley

Cooking Instructions

    Pre heat oven to 180 degrees.

    In a small bowl whisk together oil, garlic, sugar, lemon, Kashmiri masala, juiced lemon salt and pepper.

    Pour the mixture all over the chicken, turning the chicken to coat all sides.

  4. 4

    Arrange slides of lemon and orange and onion around and under the chicken.

  5. 5

    Bake uncovered for about 1 hour or until chicken is cooked and juices run clear.

    Remove and serve on a platter and garnish with chopped parsley and additional orange or lemon slices if desired.
