I had yam in my kitchen store for a month now. And I had Bread crumbs stored in my freezer for three months now. So i decided to use both ingredients for my old meet new recipe🤩

Boil and cook yam until soft. Add salt into cooking yam. After cooked till soft, seive yam and allow to cool

In your masher or local mortar and pestle, put the boiled yam, pepper, onions and maggi seasoning, and mash until smooth. Do not add water during mashing.

Transfer the mashed yam into a bowl and Add fried minced meat if you want into the mixture and mix.

Roll the mixture into balls and keep aside

In a separate bowl, whisk three eggs and in another bowl you can keep breadcrumbs if you desire, breadcrumbs adds crunchy taste to the yamballs

Preheat oil. Dip the naked yam balls into the egg bowl first, cover it fully then transfer to breadcrumbs bowl then dip into the oil and fry

Fry until golden brown. Strain the yamballs in a paper towel or seive to remove excess oil of frying. ENJOY
