Quick and Easy Alternative to Store Bought
Steps
- 1
Measure Black Eyed Peas
- 2
Put the Black Eyed Peas in the blender or food processor. Grinding one batch at a time makes handling easier.
- 3
Grind the peas on high speed until turning into a medium-fine flour (2-3 min). Extend the grind time if you see any larger bits of peas.
- 4
You can store the Black Eyed Pea flour in an air-tight container in a cool place for up to 3 months. FYI: 1 cup (250 ml) of the Black Eyed Pea flour is 200 g.
- 5
Homemade Black Eyed Pea Flour may be coarser than the kind you buy at the store. Even if your flour ends up having the texture of corn meal, it should still work well in most recipes that call for Black Eyed Pea Flour.
